2026 Christmas Giveaway Privacy Notice
This notice describes the information used to administer Michael Reynolds Marketing's nationwide food truck and mobile food cart website giveaway.
Nominations Now Open. Supporter nominations and eligible owner entries are being accepted through December 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific. No purchase necessary. The Official Rules govern eligibility and participation.
Information collected
When you enter, MRM collects the entrant's name, email, phone, business name, category, business phone, city, state, optionally a website URL, eligibility and rules confirmations, entry and verification timestamps, and limited anti-abuse information (including a one-way hash of IP address and user-agent data). MRM records whether optional marketing consent was given. A nominator supplies their own name and email, the nominated business name, type, city/state and optionally a public website/social URL and reason. Nomination timestamps, email verification status and limited abuse-prevention data are stored separately from formal business entries.
Why it is collected
MRM uses the information to register a single free owner or supporter entry per verified email, notify nominating supporters, verify and obtain the nominated business owner’s acceptance, administer the random drawing, prevent duplicate/fraudulent entries, deliver the prize, and record optional marketing consent. A verified supporter nomination adds one drawing ticket only after owner acceptance and business eligibility approval. If a nominated business never accepts, its nominations do not count. Older nominations submitted under a non-entry model do not silently become drawing tickets.
Marketing is optional
Marketing consent is a separate optional, unchecked checkbox on BOTH owner and supporter nomination forms. Only verified email addresses that affirmatively consent and have not unsubscribed will appear in the MRM marketing export. Neither submitting a nomination nor receiving a nomination from someone else constitutes marketing consent. Promotional email includes a valid sender postal address and an unsubscribe method, and unsubscribe requests are honored as required by law. Giveaway verification and other necessary administration messages may still be sent.
Storage and disclosure
Entry information is maintained through MRM's restricted administrative portal and may be disclosed to service providers only as necessary for hosting, sending email, legal compliance or prize fulfillment. The applicant directory is not displayed publicly. MRM must maintain appropriate access controls and data safeguards.
Retention and requests
MRM retains giveaway administration and consent records for the period reasonably needed to administer the promotion, satisfy applicable recordkeeping requirements and resolve disputes. To request access, correction or deletion where applicable, contact michaelreynoldsmarketing@gmail.com. Legal recordkeeping exceptions may apply.
Winner publicity
MRM may publish legally required winner information. Separate promotional use of photos, quotes, or the completed website will be arranged with the winner as applicable under law. As a separately disclosed pilot-site condition, the winning business grants MRM limited permission to show the completed public website and associated business identity in its portfolio and promotional demonstrations, and the winner’s website will display a linked MRM builder/maintenance credit during MRM’s maintenance term. Testimonials, quotes, identifiable personal photographs and personal endorsements require separate permission. Honest criticism is welcomed.
